Welcome to Love Birds

multiple couples

Think back to the moment you walked out of the temple, hand-in-hand with your new spouse. You had just made the beautiful commitment to love each other forever, and you felt on top of the world.

Do you still feel that way now?

Over time, it may feel that life has gotten in the way of the initial romance from the weeks following your wedding day.

We believe that the honeymoon stage can last forever! With the 2-2-2 rule, you can keep that excitement going strong. It’s easier to start early, rather than adopting this practice later in a marriage. The 2-2-2 rule is simple:

calendar with heart

Night out:
Every 2 weeks

blue car

Weekend getaway:
Every 2 months

pink and yellow suitcases
Week-long getaway:
Every 2 years

Why Should I Donate?

Dating remains important, even after a couple gets married. It fosters increased communication, connection, and unity. 57% of BYU-Idaho students said that money was the main barrier to regular date nights. By donating, you can contribute to some of their greatest adventures together. Your support allows newlyweds to invest in their relationship early on—without stretching their limited budget.

Kelsey and Sam met at BYU-I at one of the campus dance nights. It was a girls choice and Amber asked Sam. At the end of the night, Sam asked for her number and the rest is history! They were married in the Fresno California temple in September of 2024, on their 1 year anniversary of dating.

Sarah and Kyler met while serving in the Tacoma, Washington mission together. After they both returned, they reconnected in a religion class. Kyler asked Hannah to BYUI’s date night and 6 months later in August of 2025, they were sealed for time an all eternity in the Seattle Washington temple.
